When Erin Moran died I wondered what the life of an actor would be like if they had a place and a group of people who cared instead of being actors who pass in the night, out of sight out of mind. Where were her Happy Days friends?
I don’t blame them or her but life in general. There is so much that could have been done a community of actors who help one another when actors fails on hard times a community a home a hotel with a business office all in one place.
I believe we need to help each other while we are here on earth and not be so selfish actors should have a community to find jobs and health care when they have an actors card.
Erin had a familiar face and that became one of the reasons new parts were hard to find yet there are so many different acting jobs and if companies got together with a permanent building in the Actor’s Hotel Home. I don’t have a name for the building.
Jobs could come from a variety of places voice-overs for Disney and Pixar; TV Show Auditions; Directors who spot an actor for an audition; TV Cartoons voice overs; TV Commercials; Advert actors; Documentary voice overs; Verbal Books for the blind; Acting Teachers in schools; Acting Teachers for night school, plus a harbor of skilled actors, directors, and producers online, one place a community a place for actors who need one place.
Depression and health can be addressed a unique place, an uplifting place instead of a footnote that dies in a trailer park. Support comes from donations, job finder fees and those actors who can pay a monthly fee toward the home just like World Vision.
This idea was inspired by the death of Erin; my thoughts came out of the sadness from her death. Erin needed friends and support a community?
