I dedicate this to the STUPIDITY of Trump

Leonard Bernstein presents 7-year-old Yo-Yo Ma’s high-profile debut for President John F. Kennedy.

The lack of education on Trump’s part blows the world’s mind and his outbursts are that of a demented man.

Harold Lloyd: A Golden Era Comedian.

Harold_Lloyd_-_A_Pictorial_History_of_the_Silent_Screen

The first movie I ever saw Harold Lloyd on TV was his famous clock hanging scene ,from that day on as a kid I was fascinated by him and his movies. Harold Lloyd was a part of the Golden Era of Silent Movies and beyond to talkies.

Harold Lloyd: The Third Genius (Episode 1)

As an actor, comedian, stuntman, writer, director and producer, Lloyd made nearly 200 films between 1914 and 1947. He was a pioneer in the use of thrill sequences, daredevil physical feats, innovative camera angles, color in film and 3D photography. These tremendous accomplishments, along with the universal appeal of his stories, makes Harold Lloyd and his antics a natural for animation. Dave Rosenbaum, Cinesite’s Chief Creative Officer, Eamonn Butler, Cinesite’s Executive Animation Director and Suzanne Lloyd, granddaughter of Harold Lloyd and the owner of his film library, will collaborate on the adaptations. “Today’s films and filmmakers stand on the shoulders of Harold Lloyd with his innovations and unparalleled sense of story, camera and comedy,” said Rosenbaum. “It is an honor to work with Suzanne and the Harold Lloyd Estate.” “By donning unassuming glasses, Harold Lloyd became the boy next door everyone could relate to and he shot to stardom to enchant and entertain generations of film fans,” says Suzanne Lloyd. “I appreciate the opportunity to work with Dave Rosenbaum, Eamonn Butler and all the talented people at Cinesite to bring Harold’s comedy genius to the world in a new and innovative way. We need laughter now more than ever.” Prior to his death in 1971, Harold Lloyd reflected, “It’s amazing me to me that these comedies can still strike a responsive note of laughter with audiences of all ages and in all parts of the world. Laughter is the universal language. It establishes a common identity among people—regardless of other differences. It is the sweetest sound in the whole world.”

Harold Lloyd – This is Your Life.

Lloyd married his leading lady, Mildred Davis, on Saturday, February 10, 1923 in Los Angeles. They had two children together: Gloria Lloyd (1923-2012) and Harold Clayton Lloyd, Jr. They also adopted Gloria Freeman (1924—1986) in September 1930, whom they renamed Marjorie Elizabeth Lloyd but was known as “Peggy” for most of her life. Lloyd discouraged Davis from continuing her acting career. He later relented but by that time her career momentum was lost. Davis died from a heart attack in 1969, two years before Lloyd’s death. Though her real age was a guarded secret, a family spokesperson at the time indicated she was 66 years old. Lloyd’s son was gay and, according to Annette D’Agostino Lloyd (no relation) in the book Harold Lloyd: Master Comedian, Harold Sr. took this in good spirit. Harold Jr. died from complications of a stroke three months to the day after his father.

British Culture: Adam Ant Musician.

Adam Ant (born Stuart Leslie Goddard; 3 November 1954) is an English singer and musician. He gained popularity as the lead singer of new wave group Adam and the Ants and later as a solo artist, scoring 10 UK top ten hits from 1980 to 1983, including three UK No. 1 singles. He has also worked as an actor, appearing in over two dozen films and television episodes from 1985 to 2003.

Since 2010, Ant has undertaken an intensive reactivation of his musical career, performing live regularly in his hometown of London and beyond, recording and releasing a new album and completing three full-length UK national tours, two US national tours, and an Australian tour.

Stuart Goddard was born an only child in Marylebone, London to Leslie Goddard and Betty Kathleen Smith. Home was two rooms in De Walden buildings, St John’s WoodHe recalls: “There was no luxury, but there was always food on the table.” His father had served in the Royal Air Force and worked as a chauffeur, and his mother was an embroiderer for Norman Hartnell. He is of partial Romani descent; his maternal grandfather, Walter Albany Smith, was Romanichal. This heritage would become a basis for a theme in his later work: a concern for oppressed minorities.

At 21 years of age he was diagnosed as having bipolar disorder, and has spoken candidly about his experiences with the effects of the illness.[86] In his 31 December 2010 interview for The Sun, Ant also discussed the side effects of medication for his bipolar condition: “In the past I’ve been a robot. It’s been an out-of-body experience. Bipolar means up and down and that’s me… Music has always been the best medication. I was on sodium valproate for seven years…. I couldn’t get to sleep and I didn’t make love for seven years. My hair fell out and I couldn’t pick up a book as I couldn’t concentrate. I didn’t write a song or pick up a guitar in that time – and piled on the weight. I might as well have been dead. I work very closely with my GP and any decisions I make are made with him”. During an interview with BBC Radio 6 Music, he declared that “mental health needs a great deal of attention. It’s the final taboo and it needs to be faced and dealt with.”[88] Ant is involved in the Black Dog campaign, which promotes better understanding of mental illness.

Ant married Carol Mills in 1975, divorcing her shortly after. He dated Amanda Donohoe between 1977 and 1981, Jamie Lee Curtis in 1983 and Heather Graham in the early 1990s. In 1997, Ant married a 25-year-old assistant for Vivienne Westwood. The ceremony took place in Dayton, Tennessee. They divided their time between Dayton and London, and in April 1998 the couple had a daughter. However, the couple separated soon afterwards.

Ant, who does not own a television, enjoys reading, particularly historical novels. He has tattoos depicting Lord Nelson’s last prayer before Battle of Trafalgar, an image of his grandfather, and a quotation from Oscar Wilde: “Experience is the name everyone gives to their mistakes.”

British Culture: Lies and Deceit toward Celebrities.

There are a lot of evil people in the world who prey on the Celebrity of people and try to bring them down. When it is a lie and the thrill of bringing down of a celebrity as their sick prize the evil is beyond normal thinking. It does make me so angry that there are people who are so evil  and have nothing better in their lives that they have to hurt Celebrities.

Starr was born in Huyton, Liverpool, England.[2] Under his birth name, he appeared as a teenager in the film Violent Playground in 1958. In the early 1960s, Starr was the lead singer of the Merseybeat pop group The Midniters. The group was promoted by the manager of the Beatles, Brian Epstein, and was recorded on the Decca label by Joe Meek, the record producer of the single “Telstar”. During this period Starr performed in nightclubs in Hamburg and was an acquaintance of the Beatles.

Freddie Starr.

Freddie is a great singer but in his act he preferred to make us laugh but this time he let us hear him sing.
Starr gave an interview to the Herald Express, the local newspaper for Torbay in Devon which was published on 20 July 2007. In it he says that his father was violent and broke both his legs, a claim which does not appear in his 2001 autobiography Unwrapped. He says that he was taken away from home for two years at the age of six after his father beat him up. In Unwrapped, Starr gives speech problems as the reason he spent two years away from home as a child.

The healing power of laughter

For people living with cancer, it may seem strange to find humor when facing such serious issues. Yet, laughter can be helpful in ways you might not have realized or imagined.

Laughter can help you feel better about yourself and the world around you. Laughter can be a natural diversion. When you laugh, no other thought comes to mind. Laughing can also induce physical changes in the body. After laughing for only a few minutes, you may feel better for hours.

When used in addition to conventional cancer treatments, laughter therapy may help in the overall healing process.

According to some studies, laughter therapy may provide physical benefits, such as helping to:

Boost the immune system and circulatory system
Enhance oxygen intake
Stimulate the heart and lungs
Relax muscles throughout the body
Trigger the release of endorphins (the body’s natural painkillers)
Ease digestion/soothes stomach aches
Relieve pain
Balance blood pressure
Improve mental functions (i.e., alertness, memory, creativity)
Laughter therapy may also help to:

Improve overall attitude
Reduce stress/tension
Promote relaxation
Improve sleep
Enhance quality of life
Strengthen social bonds and relationships
Produce a general sense of well-being.
